Peter Neil Carroll has written or edited 17 books, including a volume of poetry, Riverborne: A Mississippi Requiem (Higganum Hill Books, 2008), about a journey along the great river by two friends, a repeat of a similar journey they’d made 30 years earlier. He is also co-editor of the poet James Neugass’s long-lost Spanish Civil War journal, War is Beautiful: The Journal of an American Ambulance Driver in the Spanish Civil War (New Press, 2008). He lives in Belmont, California with the writer Jeannette Ferrary. His poetry has appeared in several publications, most recently the Arkansas Review, Monterey Poetry Review, and in the anthology I Have a Dream: International Tribute Exhibition to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., edited by Gabi Serrano (Sitges, Spain, 2009).

A former broadcaster on Pacifica Radio’s “Booktalk,” Peter is an experienced interviewer and public speaker. He reads frequently in the San Francisco Bay Area and appeared at the Loveland Museum/ Gallery in Colorado in April 2009. He’s often on the road for readings, lectures, and panel discussions.
